About Project
Where Precision Agriculture Meets Autonomous Intelligence
Smart Weed Control is a CQUniversity research project developing an autonomous drone based platform for precision weed management in agricultural farming. By combining aerial imaging, artificial intelligence, edge computing, and targeted spraying, the system aims to identify weeds accurately and apply herbicides only where needed, reducing chemical use, lowering costs, and supporting more sustainable agriculture

Capability
Driving change in agriculture
AI Weed Detection
Our intelligent weed‑detection system spots weeds instantly using advanced AI. It recognises unwanted plants with exceptional accuracy, helping farmers target only the areas that need attention — saving time, money, and chemicals.
Drone Based Mapping
Drones scan your fields from above and create detailed weed maps in minutes. Every weed is pinpointed with GPS accuracy, giving farmers a clear picture of where action is needed — no more guesswork.
Automated Spraying System
Our smart sprayer drone treats only the weeds — nothing else. It flies directly to the problem spots and applies herbicide with pinpoint accuracy, reducing waste and protecting your crops and soil.
